Posted

Internationally produced playwright William Missouri Downs was in Las Cruces Thursday, Dec. 19, to see a production of his play “How to Survive Your Family at Christmas” at Black Box Theatre (BBT). Downs, far right, was at lunch Thursday at Café de Mesilla with BBT owners Ceil and Peter Herman, top left and top right, and along with Michael Mandel, bottom left, and Nikka Zimmer, between Herman and Downs. “How to Survive” is the fifth production of a Downs play at BBT. Downs, who lives in Colorado, worked as script secretary on the NBC television series “Moonlighting,” was a staff writer on the “My Two Dads” series and wrote episodes for “Fresh Prince of Bel Aire and “Amen.”
