THE BLANK CONVERSATIONS THEATRE COMPANY

The ultimate change of pace

Posted

The Blank Conversations Theatre Company presents its first play, “The Ultimate Christmas Show (abridged)” at 7:30 p.m. Friday-Saturday, Dec. 13-14 at Sugie’s Diner, 340 N. Main St.

Tickets are $15, which includes a meal provided by Sugie’s. Tickets can be purchased at the door one hour before showtime. Seating is limited.

Written by Reed Matin and Austin Tichenor, the show tells the story of the Saint Everybody’s

Ensemble having to fill in for 25 acts that were scheduled to perform at the Multicultural Interfaith

Holiday Variety Show and Christmas Pageant. The ensemble is comprised of Las Cruces actors Nico Holguin, Alyssa Gose and Erin Wendorf, along with Bryan Berard as the acting stage manager.

The show is directed by Gus David Sanchez, president and co-founder of Blank Conversations.

“I’ve always wanted to do a show that kind of poked at the traditional holiday celebration,” said Sanchez, a graduate of Centennial High School who is a freshman theatre student at New Mexico State University. “I think this is a perfect show for anybody that wants a change of pace for the holidays.”

Sanchez and several high school and college friends founded Blank Conversations this past summer to provide more opportunities for anyone interested in theatre, he said.
