As a community, we have amazing groups of people rallying around our children to help them prepare for their futures. Educators, afterschool program facilitators, non-profit organizations, businesses providing internships to high-school students and numerous other big-hearted community members invest in this next generation to help them chart the course to a great life.
Living right in the Borderland, we enjoy Mexican food any time of any day. We listen to Latinx music on the radio and watch Spanish language programming on TV. New Mexico is an officially designated bilingual state.
Blue Cross and Blue Shield of New Mexico (BCBSNM) is contributing $100,000 as part of its Covid-19 Community Collaborative Grant Fund to address the immediate needs of New Mexicans impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic, including $10,000 to Las Cruces-based Jardin de los Niños program for children and families struggling with homelessness.
