ACTion Programs for Animals hosts June 25 low-cost vaccine clinic, has low-cost kitten adoption in June

Posted

ACTion Programs for Animals of Las Cruces (APA) will host a low-cost vaccination clinic, 9-11 a.m. Saturday, June 25, at the APA adoption center, 537 N. Solano Drive.

For $15 each, the clinic will provide microchips, rabies vaccines, one-year and three-year vaccines, DAPP and bordatella vaccines for dogs and FVRCP vaccines for cats.

The vaccines will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis. Participants should line up in their vehicles outside the APA adoption center. Staff will call you into the building when it is your turn. All cats must be in carriers and all dogs must be on leashes.

Cash and credit cards will be accepted for payment.

APA is a progressive animal welfare organization seeking to improve the quality of life for companion animals in Doña Ana County and reduce the number of unwanted animals impounded and euthanized at the municipal shelter. Since May 2012, more than 5,300 animals have been rescued. The majority of these have been dogs and cats/kittens pulled from the municipal shelter. APA is able to do this through volunteer work of rescue/foster coordinators, foster families, weekend adoptions and donations.

APA continues its special of $25 to adopt a kitten throughout the month of June.

Second Chance Thrift Store, 2475 N. Main St, Suite B, is a community-based fundraising retail store benefitting APA. The store is open 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday-Saturday and closed Sunday.
