ACTion Programs for Animals (APA) of Las Cruces will host a low-cost microchip and vaccination clinic 9-11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 20, at the APA adoption center, 537 N. Solano Drive.

Pre-registration is not required, ACT said in a news release.

The following will be offered for $15 each at the clinic: rabies vaccine (one-year dose; three-year dose when appropriate), microchip, Bordetella vaccine, DAPP (Distemper, Adenovirus, Parainfluenza and Parvo) vaccine and FVRCP (Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis, Calicivirus and Panleukope) vaccine.

APA is only able to serve well-behaved dogs on leashes and cats in carriers.

Anyone bringing a pet to the clinic should line up in his or her car and wait to be called into the building.

APA accepts cash or credit cards.

Anyone in need of a drive-up clinic should call the Mesquite Animal Vaccination Clinic at 575-650-2000 or the Animal Services Center of the Mesilla Valley at 575-382-0018.
