Adrian Gonzalez, project controls manager for Jordan Foster Construction of El Paso, has joined the board of directors of the Border Industrial Association (BIA), BIA President Jerry Pacheco said.

“Gonzalez has extensive experience in the construction industry and in corporate development,” a news release said.

Gonzalez has previously worked for Helen of Troy, URENCO USA and URENCO Chemplants in England, BIA said. Gonzalez has been awarded several patents during his career. He holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering from the University of Texas at El Paso and an MBA from Texas A&M University Commerce. Gonzalez is a certified merger and acquisition adviser and project management professional.

“We are excited to have such a dynamic person, who is highly respected and recognized as Adrian join our board,” Pacheco said. “He brings a solid business and development background that will help our region’s future growth.”

Formed in 2009, BIA is a nonprofit industrial advocacy group comprised of 125 industrial members that account for 5,000 employees and billions of dollars in value-added production in the Santa Teresa region. It is the largest industrial association in New Mexico and represents the state’s largest export base to the world.
