The Branigan Cultural Center and ArrowSoul Art present “Pictograff: The Art of Indigenous Free Ways” Saturday, May 14 from 10am to 2pm. Admission is free, and the event is open to the public.

Join us as New Mexico artists Saba, Reyes DeVore, Heck Ironcloud, Pecos, Ming, WOAR2, Yuku, and Diego Medina will be installing a semi-permanent mural on the west exterior wall of the Museum of Art. Enjoy music in the courtyard from DJ Aight and participate in style writing workshops, live screen-printing, and artist demonstrations. There will be activities for all ages.

The mural, titled, “The Art of Indigenous Free Ways,” will be on public display through spring of 2023 at which time a new mural will be installed at the annual “Pictograff” event. Local artist Saba, explains the design to include “styles representing many tribes along…El Camino Real,” and intends for the mural to “represent the collective efforts to acknowledge and prepare to build the future of our past.”
