‘Broadway on Stage’ fund-raiser coming to NMSU; sponsorships available

NMSU Theatre Department students and staff and talented community members are in rehearsal for the two upcoming live performances of “Broadway on Stage: Movie Magic,” Friday and Saturday, April 29-30, at the ASNMSU Center for the Arts, 1000 E. University Ave.

The Friday, April 29, performance is at 7:30 p.m. The Saturday, April 30, performance is at 2 p.m.

The musical revue is directed by Theatre Department assistant professor Lisa Hermanson and adjunct professor Christa Fredrickson.

The show will include performances by theater students and staff as well as community members.

“This show is our major fundraiser for the year and directly benefits our talented students that you will be seeing in the show,” said NMSU Theatre Department Head Wil Kilroy. “We bring together the community with our students, forming an ensemble of performers of all ages, to give the public the best that NMSU and Las Cruces has to offer.”

Sponsorships

“Broadway on Stage” sponsorships are available for $75, $125, $200 or $250. Wednesday, April 27, is the deadline.

All of the performers and songs listed below will be featured in the show. You can sponsor an individual song, a show and/or a performer for the sponsorship amount listed.

  • $200 sponsorship, MVPs: co-directors Lisa Hermanson or Christa Fredrickson, or event host, Wil Kilroy.
  • $125 sponsorship, musicians: Lisa Hermanson or Alberto Barajas.

  • Special guest sponsorship: Sponsor the Centennial High School Choir, Singing Out Las Cruces or Studio A40 for $250, or sponsor an individual member of any of the three for $75. Provide the name of that individual when you call or email below.
