Businesses, nonprofits have Dec. 7 deadline to apply for final round of state grants

Posted

The New Mexico Finance Authority (NMFA) has announced the final application round for the $200 million Business Recovery Grant Program (BRGP). The application deadline is Tuesday, Dec. 7.

BRGP was created by the state of New Mexico to assist small-business owners and nonprofit organizations throughout the state in need of financial assistance following the pandemic. Grants are to be used for rent, lease or mortgage payments and to help provide financial flexibility for companies to rebuild their workforce.

“We hope many businesses, including nonprofit organizations, will apply for these recovery grants,” said NMFA CEO Marquita Russel. “The average grant award is $50,000, and we’ve streamlined the application process to make it as user friendly as possible. We have a team of funding coordinators available to help businesses through the application process and get New Mexico’s businesses the financial assistance they need.”

Program information and the application are online at NMFinance.com/recovery.

NMFA’s team of funding coordinators are available to help businesses complete the application in both English and Spanish.
