The Cat’s Meow Resource and Adoption Center is reporting that it raised a little over $2,000 in its latest fundraising efforts.
“A huge thank you to all who participated, donated and purchased items,” the organization’s monthly newsletter stated. “We did it together! Our next effort will be in the fall.”
The organization, at 2211 N. Mesquite, also reported that it had a strong May in terms of adopting out lots of cats.
“Who can resist a cute, cuddly kitten?” the organization’s newsletter asked.
Adoptions include two brothers, Chaos and Charley, who had lived at the the center for almost three years. The two cats are shy and elusive and “never really seemed to warm up to anyone,” the organization stated.
Now a patient couple has put in the time and the cats have warmed up to them, the organization is happy to report.
Cat’s Meow is open by appointment only from 1 to 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday afternoons.
