AGGIE FASHION CAMP

Explore, create and design at Aggie Fashion Camp

Posted

Attend the Aggie Fashion Camp to explore, create and design.

The camp is designed for high-school juniors and seniors who are interested in the fashion and textile industry, product development, social media influencing, entrepreneurialism, brand building, sustainable design and more and want to “enjoy a day of fashion immersion at NMSU,” said Kelley Coffeen, Ph.D., a professor in the NMSU Department of Family and Consumer Sciences (FCS), Fashion Merchandising and Design.

The camp will be held 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 14, in Gerald Thomas Hall (northwest entrance), 940 College Drive on the New Mexico State University campus.

The cost is $15 per person, which includes lunch.

Coffeen is the main planner/director of the camp and will teach it, along with Insook Ahn, Ph.D., who is also a professor in the NMSU FCS Merchandising and Design discipline.

During the camp, participants will be able to “meet other students who share your passion for fashion,” Coffeen said.

In compliance with state public health orders, facemasks will be required during the camp, which is sponsored by the NMSU Fashion Merchandising and Design program.

Registration is limited.

To register and for more information, email Coffeen at kcoffeen@nmsu.edu or Ahn at iahn@nmsu.edu.
