The Hatch Valley girls’ basketball team saw its season come to an end one step short of the state championship game in the Class 3A playoffs.
Hatch lost to top-seeded Navajo Prep 53-29 in the state semifinals on Wednesday.
Also Wednesday, Rehobeth Christian beat Mescalero Apache 46-34 in Boys 2A, and Hot Springs downed Navajo Prep 46-29 in Boys 3A.
In Boys 5A playoffs, Las Cruces High will play Roswell High at 6 p.m. Thursday, May 6, at Roswell in the semifinals. Las Cruces is seeded third and Roswell second.
