It's time for the DACHS Virtual Howl-o-ween 5K-9 and One-Mile Fun Run

There definitely has been a lot that has been placed on hold due to the continuing global pandemic. But if your households are anything like ours, the walks our four-legged friends' demand seem to just continue increasing, especially as they see us at home camped out in front of our laptops all day.

So what can we do to bring a bit of fun to our dog walking routines? How about a Halloween themed 5k and one-mile dog jog! Join your Doña Ana County Humane Society on Saturday, October 31 as we dress up our dogs (and ourselves) for a virtual 5k and one-mile fun run. Your $10 fee will gain you entry to the virtual Howl-o-ween 5k-9 event, where you are free to complete your 5k or one-mile walk at your convenience.

Also, great prizes will be awarded to the top three time finishers—just download the Strava app and submit your time to dachslc@gmail.com. Don’t worry, there will also be prizes included for your four-legged friends who accompany you on your run. Also, please share your costumed running/walking photos on the Doña Ana County Humane Society Facebook page. To register for the DACHS Howl-o-ween 5k-9 virtual event, click here. We can’t wait to “see” everyone out on the trails this weekend!
