The sparkle fizzled out this year for the annual Kitty Glitter Jewelry Sale. Like so many great events, Kitty Glitter was cancelled due to Covid-19.
But wait! You still can score some glitter and support cat and kitten rescue at the new Kitty Glitter online jewelry site https://helpingkitties.shop.
The site features the latest donations, including necklaces, bracelets, earrings and brooches. As always, the community has been generous with donations of gently used treasures, and you will be thrilled by the many beautiful pieces. Shop for yourself, friends or gifts for the upcoming holidays!
Your purchases will be waiting for you at Better Life Natural Pet Foods, 315 S. Telshor Blvd., during store hours on Sundays and Tuesdays. Visit the website for the most current items and to check for new additions as the site grows.
Project Save A Kitten (PSAK) is a small group of volunteers that hosts the Kitty Glitter Jewelry Sale and Karoling for Kitties to raise funds for local animal welfare nonprofits dedicated to cats such as Cat's Meow, Broken Promises, and individuals helping community cats through a local nonprofit. Funds raised pay for spay and neuter, transport to other communities that have room for cats, adoption, and veterinary bills.
As we continue through the challenges of 2020, we are preparing (with paws crossed) to bring Kitty Glitter back in spring 2021. We will have lots of jewelry and more displays and collections than ever before.
Got some time between Zoom meetings? Why not clean out your jewelry box and donate what you no longer wear for Kitty Glitter! We accept all kinds of jewelry, including fine pieces, costume, vintage, and less-than-perfect. We also encourage donations of jewelry boxes, small decorative items, lace and linens, and other small treasures. You can drop off your donation at Better Life Pet Foods (a Kitty Glitter sponsor) through February 2021.
