The Paso del Norte Health Foundation (PDNHF) recently awarded 14 grants totaling more than $2 million under the Healthy Living and Health Leadership priority areas, including three grants to Las Cruces/Doña Ana County nonprofits.
“The Healthy Living, Disease Prevention & Management and Health Leadership are the three priority areas that drive our work, in partnership with organizations that implement initiatives and programs to improve health in the region,” PDNHF said in a news release
Here are the awards to Las Cruces/Doña Ana County nonprofits:
PDNHF leads, leverages and invests in initiatives, programs and policies to promote health and prevent disease in the Paso del Norte region, the news release said. The Health Foundation was established in 1995 from the sale of Providence Memorial Hospital to Tenet Healthcare Corporation. It seeks to ensure that people living in far west Texas, southern New Mexico and Ciudad Juárez, Mexico have the knowledge, resources and skills to lead healthy lives.
