BLACK BOX THEATRE

Majestic Kid

Posted

The show must go on! Black Box Theatre is rehearsing “The Majestic Kid,” by Tony-winning playwright Mark Medoff, via Zoom. Pictured are, left to right, top row, actor Luz Resendez and director Ceil Herman, second row, actors Scott Brocato and Debbie Jo Felix and bottom row, actors Rachel Thomas-Chappell and Joshua Taulbee. “While this is not the ideal way to rehearse, it has been very effective, and will allow us to be ready to re-open with a minimum of in-theatre rehearsal time,” said Herman, who owns the theatre along with her husband, Peter. Ceil Herman said Black Box is not cancelling its current season. “‘Majestic Kid’ and ‘Next to Normal’ (the musical, directed by Nikka Zimmer, scheduled after ‘Majestic Kid’) are postponed with no date at this point for resuming our programing,” Ceil Herman said. “When we do resume, we will continue our current season, honoring our current season ticket holders. Our next season will begin when this one has ended.” For more information, visit www.no-strings.org/.
