With all states having at least partially reopened since health orders mandated closings in response to COVID-19, New Mexico continues to be one of the country’s most restricted states, according to rankings released today by the personal-finance website WalletHub. It said New Mexico is 17th in its requirement to wear a face mask in public, 31st in reopening childcare programs, 28th in travel restrictions, 22nd in large-gathering restrictions, 42nd in strictness of shelter-in-place orders, 22nd in reopening non-essential businesses and 46th in reopening restaurants and bars.
