NMSU ROTC cadets participate in Bataan Memorial Death March

New Mexico State University Army ROTC cadets participated in the first ever virtual Bataan Memorial Death March Friday, April 9, New Mexico State University Army ROTC Admissions Officer Jeffrey W. Cox Jr., GS, said in an email.

Because of public health orders, the 26.2-mile march was relegated to virtual status in 2021. It began April 9 and continued through April 19 – the dates of the Bataan Death March in 1942.

“For this year's event, the NMSU ROTC program participated with three groups; a male run team, co-ed ruck team and, for the first time in its history, a female run team,” Cox said.
