Posted

Six New Mexico State University ROTC cadets were commissioned as second lieutenants in the U.S. Army during a spring commissioning ceremony at NMSU.

The six are Pablo Macha, Joseph Harold, Ryan McCarty, Abraham Ribota, Justin Pelayo and Jacob Sell.

The May 14 ceremony was attended by the new officers and members of their families.

“All six of these young men were commissioned into the Army as second lieutenants,” said NMSU ROTC Recruiting Operations Officer Jeff Cox. “Some went active duty and others stayed in the National Guard, whether here in New Mexico or another state.”
