NEW MEXICO STATE UNIVERSITY THEATRE DEPARTMENT

NMSU Theatre presents ‘The Land Where We Stand’

Posted

The New Mexico State University Theatre Department’s production of “The Land Where We Stand” will stream from 7 p.m. Thursday, April 8, until 11:55 p.m. Sunday, April 18. Tickets are $12.

The production was devised by students, directed by NMSU Theatre Department associate professor Larissa Lury, with production stage manager Mike Wise.

The show was filmed by CMI students last fall on the NMSU campus and in Mescalero. In creating the piece, the team interviewed members of the NMSU community about their experiences on campus, interviewed members of the larger community in the region about their own relationships to the area, dug into the history of the university and began imagining ahead.

The show weaves together fictional scenes with live music, movement pieces, documentary and more. For tickets, visit www.theatre.nmsu.edu and click on Performances and Events.
