NMSU to host “Pandemic Pop Up!” virtual film festival

Posted

Two NMSU gender and sexuality studies faculty members came up with the idea to share films of the Feminist Border Arts Film Festival through a virtual event as a way to foster togetherness and social being during the current public health crisis, NMSU said in a May 4 news release.

M. Catherine Jonet and Laura Anh Williams will host a mini film fest and social justice zine exhibition entitled “Pandemic Pop Up! A Virtual Film Fest and Culture Work Exhibit” May 8-10 at genders.nmsu.edu/film-festival. A Dropbox link to the event will be made available at that website which will allow films to be streamed and zines and other media collected for the event to be viewed.

The virtual film fest is free and open to the public.
