Nusenda CU gives back to community

Nusenda Credit Union employees pack bags as they celebrate “Community Day” on Monday, Oct. 11, to benefit Las Cruces youth experiencing foster care or homelessness. Employees gather at Nusenda’s Pan Am Branch, 1715 E. University Ave., to fill hundreds of bags with personal and household essentials, and notes of encouragement. The bags were presented to Jardin de Los Niño’s and Youth and Family and Youth Inc. organizations.

Nusenda Credit Union, the state’s largest credit union, participated in Community Day Oct. 11. Nusenda employees from their new Pan Am Branch, 1715 E. University Ave., filled hundreds of gift bags with personal and household essentials and notes of encouragement. The bags were given to Jardin de Los Niños and other organizations to help fight homelessness and benefit foster care. The credit union opened its first Las Cruces branch this summer and has been making a big impact in the community with gestures like this.
