Dallas-based artist Abel Garcia will return to his hometown for art shows in Las Cruces June 24 and 25, the artist said in a news release.
Garcia will be at Queen Bee’s Smoke Shop, 600 S. Solano Drive, 7-10 pm. Friday, June 24, and at Whiskey Dicks, 101 E. Union Ave., 1-6 p.m. Saturday, June 25, the news release said.
At Queen Bee’s, Garcia will be joined by musicians Christian “Slick Chris” Jones and Bryan “B. Olive” Olivas, who will be performing their original music.
Garcia will participate in the Kings of Fiesta art show at Whiskey Dicks. That show is for ages 21 and older. Garcia will showcase his art at the event to raise money for and awareness about Jardin de los Niños childcare and education program for children and their families who are struggling with homelessness.
There is no charge to attend either event.
