This is the next in an ongoing Bulletin series featuring the artwork of Las Cruces Public Schools elementary students. This week includes artwork from Valley View Elementary. The next installment will feature art by students at Desert Hills Elementary.

“I have been teaching elementary Art for 18 years, and this is the very first year teaching remotely,” said Las Cruces Public Schools elementary art teacher Maggie Hornung, who teaches at Valley View and Desert Hills elementary schools.

“I am amazed by the volume of knowledge being shared by people who are diligently working to make this a viable teaching platform for students and for teachers,” Hornung said. “I miss the direct contact with my students, but I know reaching our students and keeping them engaged through this platform is crucial at this point.”
