HOUSTON – NM State was led by Lindsay Puhalski and Maude Boily-Dufour on the third day of the WAC Championships at the CRWC Natatorium.

In total, the Aggies added a pair of medals to their collection this week as both Puhalski and Boily-Dufour pushed their way near the top in the 400 individual medley and 100 back, respectively.

The Aggies' first podium finish of the evening came when Lindsay Puhalski battled her way to a second-place finish in the 400 IM. Additionally, Puhalski's time of 4:17.29 was good for an NCAA "B" cut distinction while the time also registered second-fastest in NM State history.

NM State then had a pair finish among the top-eight in the 100 fly as Maude Boily-Dufour finished sixth with a time of 55.20 and Rachel Ponte claimed the eighth spot with a time of 56.12.

Boily-Dufour showed she wasn't satisfied as she later claimed a bronze medal in the 100 back when she reached the wall at 54.71. This is the second time the senior earned her way onto the podium as she was also a member of the Aggies' 200 medley relay squad that claimed second place in the first event of the week.

Airam Oliva-Aun also reached a championship final as she earned her way into the top-eight in the 200 free. Oliva-Aun posted a finals time of 1:50.62 to claim sixth in the event.

"We had many great moments today and despite having a weird relay at the end of the evening there was much to be proud of," Head Coach Rick Pratt said. "Lindsay's 400 IM really set the tone for the evening with her NCAA "B" cut and the second-fastest IM in school history. Tomorrow is a big day and we can't afford to miss any opportunities. Our team will be ready to battle for the last day."

The Aggies conclude their stay in Houston tomorrow evening on the fourth and final day of the WAC Championships. Prelims will get underway at 9:30 a.m. and finals are set to start at approximately 5 p.m. Prelims can be found on wacdigitalnetwork.com and finals will be shown on ESPN+.
