PALM DESERT, Calif. – NM State found it’s rhythm and shot up the Wyoming Desert Invitational leaderboards on Thursday. Coming into the day in 11th place after the opening round, the Aggies shot 284 (-4) as a team to climb into a tie for fourth place.
The Aggies are tied with No. 49 Boise State with one round of competition left. NM State is chasing co-leaders Charlotte and No. 45 Nevada by eight shots as they enter the final day.
With one day left to play, the Aggies find themselves ahead of all current and future WAC opponents. NM State (597) sits above Seattle U (580), Dixie State (592), and future member Southern Utah (613).
