The City of Las Cruces Parks and Recreation Department began registration May 9, for its Teen Connection Summer Program.
Limited spots are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Options are available for attending the program the entire summer or for individual weeks.
Teen Connection is free and serves youth in grades 6-12 at Frank O’Brien Papen Community Center, 304 Bell Ave. The program’s summer hours will be 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, with some special activities for teens happening outside regular hours. Meals will be provided through a partnership with Families & Youth Innovations Plus and Las Cruces Public Schools’ Summer Food Services Program.

Register in person at A. Fielder Memorial Safe Haven, 906 N. Tornillo St., 10 a.m.- 4:30 p.m., Monday-Friday; Frank O’Brien Papen Community Center, 304 Bell Ave., 3 p.m.-7 p.m. Monday-Friday; and City Parks and Recreation administrative office, 1501 E. Hadley Ave., 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Thursday; 7 a.m.-4 p.m. Friday.
No telephone registrations will be accepted.
