Doña Ana County sample ballots available for voters

Everyone agrees – the best voter is a well-informed voter. And what better way to be well-informed than to know what’s on your ballot before you vote?

While local attention is honed in on the top of the ballot—the race between Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump—a slew of local races and ballot questions will have a great impact on the daily lives of Las Cruces residents. 

Sample ballots, registration status, polling location and voting history can be found at the Secretary of State’s voter information portal, NMvote.org. 

From there, scroll down to the blue boxes and find the box on the left labeled “Find My Registration and Election Information.” The box lists all the information you’ll see once you click the title and get redirected to another page. If you want to request a sample ballot, scroll a little further and you will see the link. 

Back on the voter information page, you’ll need to enter your name, date of birth and the county in which you reside. Confirm you are not a robot and you’ll be taken to another page listing all the elections in which you can vote. 

This is good information, but it doesn’t include any of the ballot questions, such as tax hike proposals or constitutional amendments you’ll be voting on. 

To see that information, you’ll need to click “My Sample Ballot” in the gray box to the upper left of the page.

From there, click “View Sample Ballot,” and a PDF of your sample ballot will download.

This year’s election will conclude on Nov. 5. at 7 p.m. 

Early voting in Doña Ana County is open from Oct.19 to Nov. 2. Early voting locations listed by the county clerk include:
