A single-family home on the 1200 block of Van Patten Avenue in Las Cruces had gone up in flames when the city fire department responded at 5:20 a.m. Monday.
The Las Cruces Fire Department reported that fire was brought under control within 13 minutes, with no one inside the home and no injuries reported.
No estimate of the damage nor a cause of the fire were immediately determined.
