Free legal clinic is Nov. 4 in Las Cruces

Posted

The Third Judicial District Pro Bono Committee and the Southern New Mexico Bar Association will host a free legal clinic for Las Cruces residents, 10 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 4, at Thomas Branigan Memorial Library, 200 E. Picacho Ave., District Judge Robert Lara said.

Legal consultations will be on a first come, first served basis.

“The goal of the clinic is to allow the public to speak with an attorney about a legal issue they are facing and allow them to get advice and direction,” Lara said. “Many of our neighbors are unable to afford such legal assistance, and clinics like this help promote access to justice.”

Spanish interpreters will be on-site during the clinic. Printing of legal forms will be provided free of charge as needed.
