He was a shrewd but fair businessman in his store of over 40 years and at Big Daddy’s Flea Market where he could be considered a fixture every weekend until his failing health.

He was a graduate of Las Cruces High School in 1965. Go Bulldogs! There he was a State Champion in wrestling. At Las Cruces High School, he took distributive education where he learned most of his business experience. After graduating high school, he went to work at Weinrich Buick and Pontiac, as a certified mechanic, until starting his own business where he owned and operator of Roger’s Auto Parts and then the Organ General Store.

A memorial service will be held at the Organ Community Church and interment of his ashes at the Slumbering Mountain Cemetery in Organ at a later date. He will be missed by all who knew him.
