New Mexico State Police confirmed that a man killed in a plane crash west of Chamberino was a Las Cruces man.
Alberto Lorenzo, 28, was killed when a plane he was piloting crashed west of Chamberino in southern Doña Ana County on June 25. Officials said the aircraft was an agricultural plane on a training mission and Lorenzo was the only passenger.
Officials also said the plane took off from the Doña Ana County International Jetport in Santa Teresa.
