With Dona Ana County now in the Yellow Level of the New Mexico Department of Health's (NMDOH) Red to Green Framework, the City of Las Cruces Parks and Recreation Department will reopen some of the allowed facilities and/or programs.
Targeted cardio and weight room hours at Meerscheidt Recreation Center (MRC), 1600 East Hadley Avenue will re-open with limited access beginning Monday, March 22, 2021. These amenities will be available by reservation only. Limited use of the facilities is aligned with public health order directives and the NMDOH guidelines. Court reservations, open gym, billiards, and sport sessions will not be available at this time.
Reservations for cardio and weight rooms will be taken by phone call only at 575/541-2563 between the hours of 12 p.m. and 3 p.m. & 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. Monday through Friday, beginning March 22, 2021. (Online reservations will not be available due to limited capacity.) The continuing reservation process and restrictions are as follows:
Frank O’Brien Papen Community Center (FOP), 304 W. Bell Ave. will offer table tennis by reservation from 8 a.m. – noon, Monday – Friday, beginning March 22, 2021. The continuing reservation and restrictions are as follows:
