Mesilla Valley Hospital has new business development director

Posted

Mesilla Valley Hospital has a new addition to its leadership team with the promotion of Judy Baca as business development director. Baca has been a member of the Mesilla Valley Hospital Business Development team since 2015, initially as a community liaison, responsible for maintaining and building relationships in the southeastern area of the state.

She was later promoted to business development manager in 2020. Baca has “cultivated strong connections in our community and throughout the state,” the press release announcing her promotion said.

She developed “Erase the Stigma,” a presentation for children, adolescents and adults, which allows them to be comfortable with discussing mental health and their emotions. Over the past three years, this presentation has been shared with thousands of individuals in Las Cruces and surrounding areas. “She is dedicated to inform the community about mental health and knows that an educated community is strong enough to erase the stigma of mental health,” the press release stated.

As Mesilla Valley Hospital’s business development director, Baca will foster community outreach opportunities and lead a team of three community liaisons, located in the eastern, northern and southern regions of New Mexico, the hospital said.

“I am honored to take on this new role, and create new business opportunities for Mesilla Valley Hospital,” Baca said in the release. “I am proud to work for and promote a hospital that provides exceptional care for those experiencing mental health issues. It is my goal to make Mesilla Valley Hospital New Mexico’s first choice for behavioral health care. I look forward to not only making a difference for Mesilla Valley Hospital, but making a difference in our community, because there is no health without mental health.”

Mesilla Valley Hospital offers comprehensive mental health services in a secure, respectful therapeutic environment. Since 1987, the hospital has been providing access to quality behavioral health care and dual-diagnosis addiction treatment to patients across the country, including residents of New Mexico, West Texas and Arizona.
