New bank branch opens

First New Mexico Bank, with support from the Greater Las Cruces Chamber of Commerce, opened a new branch at 920 N. Motel Blvd. with a ribbon cutting Friday afternoon, March 11. The bank opened its first Las Cruces location at 3000 E. Lohman Ave. in November 2001 and added a location in Anthony in 2008. Three of the employees at the new Motel Boulevard branch are native Las Crucens. The bank said it chose that second location because Motel Boulevard “has many small businesses and other businesses that provide community services, like the county, sheriff’s department, dispatch, and add to that the residential housing.” Visit firstnewmexicobanklc.com.
