The Las Cruces Police Department is working to identify a man found dead at an empty shopping complex of Amador Crossing on Amador Avenue and S. Esperanza Street earlier this month.
“At this time, LCPD does not have reason to believe his death is suspicious, but police do investigate all unattended deaths,” a city of Las Cruces spokesperson said in an email to the Bulletin.
The body was discovered by a passer-by on the morning of June 20, a day after a windstorm rolled through Las Cruces. Police said they believed the person had been there for several days.
