The Gadsden Chapter, Sons of the American Revolution presented a $500 check to the Speech and Debate Club of Arrowhead Park Early College High School (APECHS), the chapter said in a news release.
APECHS’ Speech and Debate Club was started in October 2020, and in its first year, club members won first place in the New Mexico State Speech and Debate Championship.
Because of the impact of the pandemic, the club is seeking donations to continue club activities and has a fundraising goal of $5,000.
Donations in any amount may be made to reach their goal. Make checks payable to APECHS and put Speech and Debate in the memo line. Address the envelope to APECHS, ATTN: Speech and Debate, 3600 Arrowhead Drive, Las Cruces, New Mexico 88003.
