Thomas Branigan Memorial Library Hosts Local Teen Author Anelise Emlquist

Posted

As part of the Branigan Library’s Summer Reading program - Tails and Tales, the library invites you to a book reading from Anelise Elmquist at 6 p.m. on July 7 in the Roadrunner Room at the Branigan Library. Anelise is the author and illustrator of Cooper’s Tale, a book written from her dog’s perspective on the pandemic.

Anelise Elmquist is a thirteen-year-old author and illustrator living in Las Cruces, New Mexico. In her free time, she enjoys reading, writing, coding, playing Minecraft, and creating art for her business, Art for the World. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Anelise wrote, illustrated, and published Cooper’s Tale. With another book on the way, she has some advice for new authors. “Your writing is your expression, and nothing else should matter except that you love it and enjoy it!”

For more information about this program, contact the library’s Teen Librarian cawilliams@las-cruces.org for more details.
