Here’s what’s on tap for high school football this weekend, which includes three straight days of games at the Field of Dreams in Las Cruces.
The Las Cruces High School Bulldawgs kick off the local slate with a 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 24, game at home against El Paso Americas at the Field of Dreams.
Friday, Centennial High School hits the road to El Paso for a 7 p.m. Aug. 25 game at Franklin High School.
Also on Friday, in Las Cruces, Mayfield High School hosts Santa Teresa for a 7 p.m. Aug. 25 game at the Field of Dreams.
And at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 26, Organ Mountain High School hosts Deming at the Field of Dreams.
Here’s how the local teams fared last weekend.
Mayfield was the only Las Cruces team to score a victory last weekend, defeating Monzano in Albuquerque 55-0 Aug. 16.
Volcano Vista defeated LCHS 24-7 Aug. 18; Cleveland defeated Centennial 27-8 Aug. 19; and Albuquerque High defeated OMHS 34-17 Aug. 18.
