U.S. Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy (R-Cal) is scheduled to be in Las Cruces Monday, April 10, along with former U.S. Representative Yvette Herrell.
The event is called an “Announcement Rally” and is expected to be the formal announcement by Herrell, of Alamogordo, to run for Congress in 2024.
Doors open at 4:45 p.m. at New Mexico Farm & Ranch Heritage Museum, 4100 Dripping Springs Road. The event is open to members of the public who RSVP at www.yvetteherrell.com/joinus.
Herrell held New Mexico House District 2 in 2021-22, and was a state representative from 2011-2019.
