Here’s a look at local high school softball and baseball teams as of April 12, as the regular season heads into its final weeks.

Softball:

The Centennial High School Hawks are 18-0, 7-0 in 5A District 3, and ranked No. 1 in the state.

Mayfield High School is ranked No. 9 in the state, with a 10-8 overall record and 3-4 in district 5A-3.

Organ Mountain High School is 14-4 overall and 4-3 in district 5A-3, and ranked No. 11.

Las Cruces High School is 9-8 overall and 3-4 in district 5A-3.

Mesilla Valley Christian School is 6-5 in Class A.

The state softball championship playoffs are May 5-13, with first rounds at the homes of the higher seeds, and the rest of the games in the Albuquerque area.

Baseball:

The Centennial baseball team is ranked No. 5 in the state, with a 16-2 overall record and undefeated at 7-0 in district 5A-3.

Las Cruces High School is ranked No. 10 in the state, with a record of 13-4 overall and 6-1 in district 5A-3.

Organ Mountain is 11-7 overall and 5-2 in district 5A-3.

Mayfield is at 7-11 overall and 2-5 in district 5A-3.

Mesilla Valley Christian School is 6-2 in Class A.

The state baseball  playoffs are May 3-13.
