Las Cruces Writers has Dec. 10 holiday book signing at Mesilla Valley Mall

The Las Cruces Writers will hold its second annual Holiday Booknanza Signing and Sale noon-3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 10, at Mesilla Valley Mall, 700 S. Telshor Blvd., the group said in a news release.

Participating writers will offer many new books this year, the news release said.

The authors are

  • Veterinarian Jim Humphreys, who will sign his book, “My Friends Walk Barefoot,” which details experiences from his practice in southeast New Mexico;
  • School psychologist Desiree Bustamantes, signing “Tell Me About You!” a children’s book about navigating life;
  • Retired educator and business owner George Pintar signing eight of his books, including “Tombstones of Famous or Near Famous People”;
  • Historian Frank Mantua signing “Eye For The Work,” a murder mystery;
  • Andrea Messineo, who has a doctorate in philosophy and a masters in psychology, will sign her poetic work, “Alone In Church”;
  • Janie Franz will sign her murder mystery and adventure novel, “Handful of Dirt”;
  • Susan Pfeiffer will sign “The Dusty Attic,” a romance time-travel novel, and two other books;
  • Rosemary Matos will sign her novel “Promises From Cuba,” which is set against the backdrop of the Cuban revolution;
  • Bob Worthington will sign his latest military memoir, “The Making of An Army Psychologist, From Fighting in Vietnam To Treating Fellow Veterans”;
  • David Osterhout will sign his memoir “OINK, Only In North Korea,” based on true events in the 1980s;
  • Fenton Kay will sign “La Llorona,” a Carol Montgomery murder mystery;
  • Charmayne Samuelson will sign her newest Southwest animals coloring books, “What I Love! Said Rubee Dove” and “I Am Whatever I Need with Southwest Desert Animals,” along with eight other titles.

The book signing is open to everyone, including those interested in joining the writers’ group.
