Mesilla Valley Chorale (MVC) urgently needs a new primary accompanist as it plans rehearsals for its upcoming Christmas concert and beyond, the chorale said in a news release.
Anyone interested in the position should be a skilled choral accompanist, preferably with several years of experience, MVC said. Commitment includes a two-hour choral rehearsal each Monday evening as well as concerts in December and May. A small stipend is provided.
MVC is comprised of experienced singers “who share a passion for performing choral music,” MVC said. “Known for its excellence and diversity in programs, the community chorale features three- to eight-part music from classical to pops.”
MVC rehearses 7-9 p.m. Mondays in the St. Paul’s United Methodist Church choir room, 225 W. Griggs Ave. The chorale is directed by Carol Nike.
