The Young at Heart Chorus, a local company of singers entertaining at assisted living and nursing homes as well as senior centers, will present its final concert before taking a summer break on May 23.

Per a news release, the singers will perform at 2 p.m. on Thursday, May 23, at the Good Samaritan Society’s auditorium, 3011 Buena Vida Circle in Las Cruces.

The concert is set for one hour and will feature songs such as “Side by Side,” “Tie a Yellow Ribbon,” “Red Sails in the Sunset,” “Que Será Será” and others.

The ensemble was founded in 1972 and was previously known as the Munson Senior Chorus and, later, the Las Cruces Senior Chorus. It has been in continuous operation for 52 years.

The group will resume regular performances in September, according to the announcement.
