Tequila, Taco & Cerveza Fest pours onto Plaza

The eighth annual Tequila, Taco & Cerveza Fest is 6 p.m.-midnight, Saturday, July 15, at Plaza de Las Cruces, 100 N. Main St.

The event will include tequila samples, more than a dozen vendors serving a wide variety of food, including Las Cruces and El Paso tacos, among them cotton candy tacos with ice cream and whipped cream and sprinkles from Sugar Dip. Nearly a dozen food vendors will compete for Best Taco 2023.

The event will include 15 minutes of Luchador fights every hour on the half hour: 5:30, 6:30, 7:30, 8:30, 9:30 and 10:30 p.m.; live music by Satisfied, Mariachi Paso del Norte and DJ Rob E; and from 5-10 p.m.: Motors on Main classic and custom car, truck and bike show benefiting Love Las Cruces, which supports Las Cruces-themed mural installations by local artists, food pantry installations, community cleanups and community gardens.

The festival will also include lawn games (corn hole and water pong), carnival games (Toss It, Knock It, Pop it with prizes awarded) and a photo booth.

Costumes are encouraged. “Wear your favorite party outfit,” including taco and Luchador costumes, masks and capes, said event sponsors Party Tenders Events and Rad Retrocade.

Tickets are $20-$65. Ages 12 and under are admitted free with a parent.
