‘Bras for a Cause’ celebrates unique art, cancer awareness

Posted

When Las Cruces artists start gathering their paint and brushes, needle and thread, baubles and beads, glue guns and even their 3D-printer supplies, it must mean some kind of magic is going to happen. Imagination is going to take center stage for Bras for a Cause, a vibrant initiative aimed at raising awareness for breast cancer and supporting Cancer Warriors in our community.

Bras for a Cause is a one-of-a-kind extravaganza where local artists showcase their talent by transforming bras into stunning works of art. This in-person event will be held 6-10 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 12, at New Mexico Farm and Ranch Heritage Museum, 4100 Dripping Springs Road.

Get ready to be amazed by the incredible designs and bid on your favorite masterpiece.

It is not too late to participate and contribute your own work of art. All bra art must be submitted no later than Oct. 10 to participate. Contact Karen Matthews at karen.matthews@lpnt.net or Cynthia de Lorenzi at cynthiadelorenzi@gmail.com.
