On Thursday, the city announced temporary lane closures on two separate roadways in Las Cruces:
The northbound lane on Valley Drive between W. Farney Lane and Marquess Street will be closed for approximately two weeks beginning Monday, the city stated in a news release.
This closure is not expected to affect RoadRUNNER Transit, and access to businesses will be available throughout the road work while it is underway.
The westbound lane of Tashiro Drive between Medina Drive and Motel Boulevard will be closed for about a week, also beginning Monday.
Two-way traffic will continue, and the closure is not expected to affect RoadRUNNER Transit or any bus stop.
Motorists are instructed to watch for posted signs to help navigate the roads while road work is in progress.
