New playground coming to Safe Haven

Posted

The old playground at A. Fielder Memorial Safe Haven, 906 N. Tornillo Street, is set to be replaced next week, the city of Las Cruces announced Tuesday.

The current playground will be demolished and a new one installed, beginning Monday, Feb. 5, with work scheduled to continue through Thursday, March 29.

A news release indicated the community center will remain open and asked students and parents to keep an eye out for fencing and signs during construction. Programs, events and access will continue as scheduled.
