Installation of bridge sensors for the Interstate 10 overpass will require overnight road closures on sections of University Avenue and S. Main Street underneath the bridge next week, the New Mexico Department of Transportation announced Friday.
A DOT spokesperson confirmed that the interstate itself will remain open as normal. Work will be taking place underneath the bridge to install sensors to monitor the structure’s integrity.
The closures will be in effect from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. from Monday, Dec. 11 through Friday, Dec. 15. All closures are subject to change based on weather and other conditions. Updated information is available online at NMRoads.com or by calling 511.
