The intersection at University Avenue and Espina Street will be intermittently closed at various times for approximately one hour on Tuesday, Sept. 26.
The periodic intersection closures will affect northbound and southbound traffic on Espina Street. Eastbound and westbound traffic on University Avenue will be reduced to one lane in each direction.
A detour will direct traffic around the work zone during the closures. Access to residences and businesses will be maintained during the closures. Motorists are urged to follow all posted signs.
The work will affect RoadRUNNER Transit Route 2. The intermittent lane closures will also require intermittent closures on bus stop 50.
A-Mountain Construction will be installing new asphalt through the intersection as part of the University Avenue Waterline and Mill/Overlay project.
